She holds a Masters degree in economic analysis and has worked in call centres for multinational firms and financial services operations. A trade union activist, she was the press officer for the Together For Yes campaign in Cork. She resigned from the Green Party in 2020 over its handling of the Mother and Baby Homes scandal.

Elected to the Dáil in 2011, the Bishopstown politician lost his seat at the 2016 General Election as Cork South Central dropped to a four seat constituency. A high profile member of the Seanad and with savvy media skills, he is a lifelong GAA supporter and formerly worked as a development officer for Cork Co Board. A secondary school teacher by profession he also penned an electoral memoir about his unsuccessful 2007 General Election bid.

She unsuccessfully contested a seat for Cork City Council last June for their South Central ward. Originally from Cork's northside, she has been based in Blackrock for the past 20 years. She has also worked as a radio presenter. Her key campaign issues are affordable housing, the spiralling cost of living as well as hospital waiting lists and healthcare accessibility.

An independent challenger on a peace platform, he is advocating for a reformed drug policy, strict adherence to human rights protocols in Irish society and investment in social infrastructure to protect the poor and vulnerable in communities. He is a director of Help Not Harm, a health reform organisation. He contested the European Parliament elections last June for Ireland South, garnering 4,575 votes.

A veteran member of Cork City Council who was comfortably re-elected in last June's Local Government election, Councillor Dineen said his Dáil challenge was prompted by widespread dissatisfaction with how Ireland was being run. Unsuccessful in his challenges for a Cork City Council seat in 2004 and 2009, he has held a seat in Cork City Council's South Central Ward since 2014. Last June he garnered 879 first preference votes.

His election literature last summer included pledges to abolish the TV license, a requirement for RTE to apologise to voters for recent scandals and a promise of a pay hike and a free Lanzarote holiday for every Garda, firefighter and paramedic.

A former Lord Mayor of Cork - the first non-party member to hold the post - he is standing for a Dáil seat as an independent having unsuccessfully contested both the 2011 and 2016 General Elections. He is a lifelong member of St Finbarr's GAA club. A youth officer with the Education Training Board in Cork, he formerly worked as a journalist, an editor, sports coach and a parliamentary secretary. He said that justice issues including extra Gardaí and targeting the crime rate will be central to his campaign.

Another UCC graduate, she served as a President of the Union of Students in Ireland (USI) before becoming involved in the Labour Party. She twice contested Seanad elections without success but was elected to Cork City Council last June with a strong 1,240 first preference vote. Originally from Ballyvourney in west Cork, she is a fluent Irish speaker and played a key role in both Labour's equality and Eighth Amendment campaigns, being appointed head of the party's key mobilisation team. She has highlighted cost of living as a key election issue - saying that three of her four younger sisters have had to emigrate because of housing and living costs.

He shares the same Carrigaline base as his brother and will benefit from the renowned McGrath electoral machine in the greater Cork harbour area.

Immigration has been cited as one of his key campaign issues. The NP will contest CSC as part of an umbrella National Alliance grouping with Ireland First who are fielding Derek Blighe in CNC.

A keen sports fan and a fluent Irish speaker, he previously worked as a parliamentary assistant for David Cullinane and former Cork East TD Sandra McLellan. He is based in Togher and studied law at UCC.

He is also known as Sean O’Leary and previously ran in several constituencies in the 2020 General Election and is now listed in several constituencies this time around as well, including Cork North West. He garnered headlines last time for canvassing from an hospital trolley and listed healthcare and homelessness among his key concerns.

She studied medicine at Trinity College Dublin (TCD) and got involved in the Green Party as she is passionate about tackling climate change, working for social justice and better health services. She is a proud dog owner.

Based in Ballyphehane, Rice has been a policy research manager and a human rights campaigner. Having studied at UCC, he went on to get his Masters degree from Oxford University. He successfully contested a seat for Cork City Council in the South Central Ward and his election was one of a number of major breakthroughs in Cork achieved by the party.
