She holds a PhD in public policy and previously worked as a lawyer in the public service within the Oireachtas before entering politics, which included serving as a legal advisor to former Taoiseach Enda Kenny and as a special advisor to a number of Government departments. Ms Carroll MacNeill was elected as councillor for the constituency of Killiney Shankill in 2019.

Mr Smyth, the junior minister who launched the national Deposit Return Scheme, previously worked as a technical project manager at St Vincent’s Hospital in Dublin.

A pharmacist who has previously stood for election to the Dáil for Dún Laoghaire in 2020 and in Dublin Bay South for the by-election held in 2021, Ms Toibín has worked within the HSE for fifteen years and managed two community pharmacy businesses. Ms Tóibín, who is the sister of the party’s founder and sole TD Peadar Tóibín, studied at Trinity College Dublin and also stood for local election for Dún Laoghaire in June 2024.

A sitting senator for four years, practicing barrister Barry Ward previously worked as a legal advisor to former Taoiseach Enda Kenny before entering electoral politics. He is originally from Deansgrange and was first elected to Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council in 2009. He stood for general election in the constituency in 2020, though missed out on a seat. Mr Ward was elected as a senator for the industrial and commercial panel that same year.
